Ardillier started teaching very young & has subsequently acquired over 40 yrs experience as an AMEB qualified private Piano Teacher.

 

Having had her first film & television composition accepted into the AGMS teaching syllabus (grade 8) at only 19 yrs old, Ardillier developed a keen love for all things composition going on to win a global Film & Television competition composing with orchestral, synth & sound effect digital software on purpose built DAWs (specialised music computors).

Ardillier's first instrument was Modern Electronic Organ where she was self taught for 6 yrs.  Here she developed her love of scoring/arranging by ear (Abba sheet music was scarce in the 70's!), subsequently writing out the music from the radio to a wide range of Pop & Theatre Songs . From Billy Joel to Pink Floyd, American Pie to Bohemian Rhapsody, Ardillier grew up on a diet of some of the best modern music ever written (he he, she's biased of course) & is passionate about passing this music on to future generations.

At 16, Ardillier discovered a love for Piano, beginning her classical journey through Bach, Beethoven, Liszt &....ok, so she didn't love Bartok, but unlike many, she loved theory! Weaving a winding path away from music in her 20s, she then went on to prove you're never too old, gaining her Diploma in her 30's & completing 7th grade Musicianship.

Ardillier has taught in many settings from group teaching to guest lecturing at Australian Institute of Music when it was only in it's infancy. 

​

AMEB examinations, HSC & Elective music are all available at Ardillier Music, but of course,  coming from her very non traditional musical background, simply learning for the sheer joy of playing music is always the top priority of learning with Ardillier.

​

Being a big kid at heart, Ardillier love's teaching kids & having been an adult learner herself, she really understands the need for adults to access quality teaching techniques unique to their learning needs.

​
